1: How many Tassimo machines are offered in the U.S.?

Currently, four different models of the Tassimo single cup coffee system are available in the United States. The Home Brewing System and the Tassimo T20 are both available for $99.99. Because of its space-saving design, the T20 has a slightly smaller water reservoir (61-ounces) than the Home Brewing System (68-ounces). The T20 is also available in either black or white.

The Tassimo Suprema retails for $139.99. The Suprema’s water reservoir holds 61-ounces, and a water filter is included with purchase. The Suprema is available in either red or black.

The Tassimo LCD Premium (T65) includes a multilingual LCD display, a 61-ounce water reservoir, and a water filtration system. The T65 has a Twilight Titanium finish and retails for $169.99.

The built-in water filter on the Tassimo Suprema and LCD Premium machines is a distinguishing design feature on single-cup coffee makers in that price range. However, we feel the most unique attribute of the Tassimo one cup brewing system is its ability to brew milk-based beverages like lattes and cappuccinos, in addition to coffees and teas.

The Tassimo single cup brewing system can do this because each T-Disc has a unique barcode that tells the Tassimo machine how to prepare each individual beverage. Plus, Tassimo is the only single cup coffee system that uses an espresso capsule and liquid, shelf-stable milk to prepare their milk-based drinks.

But keep in mind that making a cappuccino or latte is a two-step process. An espresso T-disc plus the specific milk T-Disc (foaming or regular) are prepared sequentially to make a single drink.

Keurig offers six choices for brewing gourmet coffee, tea, or hot chocolate at work.

Designed for large offices, the B3000SE is plumbed directly to a water line, so there’s no need to refill a water reservoir. The B3000SE can brew four different cup sizes/strengths, has a separate spigot that can be used for dispensing hot water, and automatically ejects each used K-Cup into a waste storage bin.

For medium-sized offices, the Keurig B200 has the flexibility to be plumbed directly to a water source or to be used as a “pour over” brewer by simply filling the built-in water reservoir. The Keurig B200 coffee maker can brew two different cup sizes/strengths and — like the B3000SE — has the option of being used with a separate water filter. Both the B200 and B3000SE are vending-compatible.

Ideal for small-to-medium-sized offices, the trilingual (English, French, and Spanish), touchscreen-enabled Keurig B150 coffee maker brews a cup of gourmet coffee, tea, or hot chocolate in five different cup sizes/strengths. The B150 comes with a 90-ounce water reservoir and can be plumbed directly into the office’s water supply.

The Keurig B140 coffee maker is used in small offices or as an auxiliary coffee maker in larger offices. The B140 can brew gourmet coffee, tea, or hot chocolate in four different cup sizes/strengths and its 48-ounce water reservoir holds enough water to brew approximately six cups before it needs to be refilled.
